Four Chairmen of China Securities Regulatory Commission Agreed China
Stock Market Has Prosperous Future
 ¡°2002
China Stock Market Senior Forum¡± was held at China World Hotel in
Beijing on March 20, 2002. The
current chairman and all three formal chairmen of China
Securities Regulatory Commission
attended the conference and delivered lectures. Famous
economists and representatives from Stock Exchanges and Funds also stated
their viewpoints over major subjects such as stock market standardization
and development as well as the challenges and opportunities after entering
WTO. All agreed that China stock market has potential and will have bright
prospect.
¡°Considering the factors such as change of exchange rate, escalation of the proportion of direct fund gathering, etc., China¡¯s capital market has the potential prospect and has drawn the world attention.¡± Said Mr. Zhou Xiaochuan- the Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, at the forum on March 20, 2002. All last Three Chairmen of China Securities Regulatory Commission- Liu Hongru, Zhou Daojong, and Zhou Zhengqing- also attended the Forum and aired their opinions. Four Chairmen of China Securities Regulatory Commission had the same opinion over the Stock Market and fully admitted the function of stock market played in the development of National Economy. The forum was sponsored by Securities Times, New Fortune Magazine and Beijing Qingye Investment Management Co., ltd. And was presided by Wu Fengyi¡ªhead of Securities Times and Wang Xiaoyan¡ªChairperson of the board of Beijing Qingye Investment Management Co., ltd. Zhu Xinmin- head of People¡¯s Daily and Gu Jiawang- head of Career Development Bureau attended the forum. In addition, around 300 experts and scholars from listed companies, stock exchange companies, and fund management companies attended the forum.
